Let the Flame in My Lamp Never Go Out
28 × 28 inches | Original Painting
A painting that reminds us that the only way for a lamp to keep burning is to be continually supplied with oil. In the same way, we must continually be filled with the Holy Spirit. We cannot run on our own strength, and we cannot sustain the fire within us apart from Him. Just as a lamp depends on its oil to keep its flame alive, our lives depend on His Spirit to sustain us, strengthen us, and keep us burning for Him.
It is not enough to have a flame that burns for a moment. We must remain connected to the One who keeps it burning. Our walk with God requires us to continually seek His presence, make room for Him, and allow Him to fill us again and again.
May this painting serve as a reminder that we were never meant to live empty. If we desire for our flame to never go out, we must remain filled.
“Let the flame in my lamp never go out.”
